• PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR DOGS VACCINATION CARD ON THEIR FIRST STAY AS WE CANNOT ACCEPT THEM WITHOUT IT. The inoculations that each dog must be covered for are Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis 4, Parvo Virus, Parvo-influenza and Kennel Cough(Bordetella). Once we have seen the certificate we will only require to see it again on the first stay after the following year's booster. The Kennel Cough must be given 7 days prior to first day of stay.
  • A £30 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the kennel per week booked. No booking is made until the deposit is received. Christmas period full payment is required as deposit.
  • Prices are a DAILY RATE not a nightly rate. Your kennel is available to you from opening time on day of arrival to closing time on day of departure and because of this both arrival and departure days are both chargeable days.
  • X 1 Cat per day £8.00
  • X 1 Dog per day £13.50, x2 Dogs per day £24
  • Heating is an additional expense £1 per night or £1-50 Day/Night
  • Insurance is included in the fee but please be aware that our insurance does exclude fees in connection with any pre-existing conditions, death or cremation which also includes Kennel Cough. There is no reduction in charges for not wanting insurance.
  • Full payment is expected on collection of your pet by either cash or cheque (made payable to FIVEWAYS KENNELS AND CATTERY). Even if collection is made earlier than previously booked payment for full length of stay will still need to be made.
  • Any current or ongoing problems with a pet's health or temperament must be notified to us at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse any pet that we consider to be of an unreliable temperament, or sick at the time of boarding. Please inform us if your dog is on medication and give clear instructions of administration also including any  meat/ham if tablets are not palatable.
  • We have our own veterinary surgeon on call 24 hours a day. If in the unlikely event we do need to contact a vet for your pet and he/she is with a local surgery we will of course contact them first. If we have to call out a vet for any existing health condition prior to boarding, all fees incurred are the responsibility of the owner. If your pet is well enough for us to take them to an appointment at the surgery a charge of £10.00 will be added to your invoice. If an emergency were to arise we would contact the emergency number that you leave with us but please understand that getting your animal treated is of the utmost importance to us and contacting you has to come as the next priority. Whilst every possible attention is given to each pet boarded with us, it is done so entirely at the owner's own risk, as are pets sharing accommodation. Should we feel the need to separate them in the interest of the animal's own safety, a relevant charge for the extra accommodation will be made. Any vet fees incurred from injuries that your pet may inflict on themselves or, in the case of sharing, by their kennel mate (only same households may share or families with agreement by both sides) are the responsibility of the owner.
  • All pets should have been wormed and flea treated recently. Should any pet on arrival require treatment for internal or external parasites (flees worms etc) this will be done without prior consent from the owner and then a charge will be applied.
  • Please could you restrict drop off, collection and viewing times to within our opening times as we do like to consider our neighbours and hope you will to.
  • ARE OPENING TIMES ARE NOT FLEXIBLE - the council gave us these times when we applied for planning permission - we do not want to jeopardize our licence and hope that you would not expect us to.
  • Every dog will have two forms of exercise a day whether this be a walk on a lead or a supervised run off the lead in one of our enclosed paddocks or a wander around in our large exercise pen. In all these situations this is where, if authorised by yourself, your dog will be able to socialise and make new friends.
  • We supply each dog with its own basket but ask that you bring something from home whether it be bedding or an old blanket so that they have some familiar comforts around them. Occasionally during the settling-in process a dog may be destructive, so we suggest an old blanket be put in with normal bedding a few days before there stay and bring that along instead of running the risk of spoiling their bed. We do of course keep spare bedding in case it is needed. If you wish you may leave toys/treats etc. But only on strict understanding that although every effort will be made to keep track of these items we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.
  • Please make sure that your dog is wearing a COLLAR which they will be expected to wear at all times during their stay even if a harness is used a collar still needs to be worn.
  • IF ANY ANIMAL IS NOT COLLECTED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE AGREED DEPARTURE DATE AND ALL POINTS OF CONTACT HAVE FAILED, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE ANY ANIMAL REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES AND LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN TO REIMBURSE BOARDING FEES AND MONIES SPENT ON RELOCATION OF THE ANIMAL .
